Apparently a father and his son had decided that their pit bull was too old to fight anymore, so of course in their mind the only logical thing to do was drown it. However, they only managed to succeed in drowning themselves.
“The pit bull is still alive and unharmed.”

Much as I’ve had some really bad experiences with the “fighting” breeds (specifically akitas, doberman pinschers, and especially the ex-neighbor’s rottweiler that bit me in the nuts), anyone who would drown a dog just for getting old deserves that fate.
Stupid humans… Euthanizing an animal (or apparently just killing them for any old reason, according to that article) isn’t worth batting an eyelash over, but releasing other humans from suffering isn’t.
Okay. That wasn’t completely relevant; but it needed to be vented, and my site’s been gone awhile…
